Alison King is used to playing it mean and nasty when it comes to Carla Conner on Coronation Street. But is she really like that in real life?
Absolutely not. According to an interview with the Sunday Mail, King is actually quite laid back, and prefers to ‘go with the flow’, so to speak, especially when it comes to her job. There’s now way of telling (especially in the soap industry) if one is going to be knocked off soon, after all, so it’s best to take things as they come.
And her icy glare that she’s perfected so well on Coronation? All an act, of course. She doesn’t look like that in real life. But apparently it’s been effective enough that its thrown fellow actor Rob James-Collier off his paces whenever it’s directed his way. Now that’s an actress.
